Howdy! I'm Delbert Trew a retired rancher, living with wife Ruth on a ranch that's been in the family for more than 55 years. We live east of Amarillo, Texas near Alanreed, Texas and our driveway is Old Route 66.
I was born in the Texas Panhandle in 1933 during The Great Depression and in the heart of The Dust Bowl. Since then I have been a farmer, rancher, cowboy, carpenter, cow-trader and professional musican. Today, I am a freelance writer and publisher. |

In 1985, we sold our livestock, leased out our ranch and hung up my saddle for good. Pushing a pen and punching a keyboard sure beats digging postholes in the hard Texas soil. |

Being a 'Jack-of-all-trades and master of none,' left me with boxcar-loads of hindsight. I write from a 'been there, done that and I have seen it all' philosophy. I love history, the Good Old Days and try to never let the truth stand in the way of a good story. Check out some of the good people who publish my writings by clicking on the links below. |
